I've driven tens of thousands of miles with a RWD drive BMW and good winter tires. Never had issue.

All gasoline BMWs sold in Europe come with a particulate filter. US versions don't, and this helps with performance when having the exact same engine. So if it's legally not needed, I don't want an additional serviceable part in my exhaust.

Since these are European models and come with particulate filters, do the US versions also come neutered from factory?

The general laissez-passer attitude of parents and hauling their children with shit-filled diapers everywhere is insane. I've seen them change a diaper on tables. If they aren't out of diapers don't bring them near places with water.

My suggestion is to make a warranty claim and get it replaced. That way you at least have one that isn't damaged. Who knows what you will run the day after your warranty expires, which uses a part of the die damaged?
