NASA will finally allow astronauts to bring their iPhones to space

It'll be interesting to see how they perform. My wife took her iPhone to Denver. When the pressure on the plane equalized her screen popped out.

CBS owner ready to settle Trump lawsuit in apparent bid to get merger approved

Go ahead and wall yourself off from everything you don't agree with. That way at least you can remain secure in your echo chamber.

CBS owner ready to settle Trump lawsuit in apparent bid to get merger approved

60 Minutes clearly manipulated the dialog by misrepresenting what happened during "the interview". Should Trump have let it drop? Probably. Still, a news organization should remain objective and not try to sway public opinion one way or the other.

Drunk man walks into climate change, burns the bottoms of his feet off

I live very close to the beach and I've come off the strand many times during my life and had to cross hot pavement. This isn't anything new, dude just didn't have the sense to get off the asphalt, To me it seems to be more a function of his state of mind than hot pavement. Green spots would be...

FTC sues Uber over difficulty of canceling subscriptions, “false” claims

I've used Uber a few times and my biggest complaints are the driver not coming to my location, but instead making me walk a 1/2 mile away and then charge late fees or interestingly the rate varying by as much as 20 dollars with a few minutes. I've seen rates jump from 6 to 20 dollars in a very...

FTC sues Uber over difficulty of canceling subscriptions, “false” claims

Or Amazon's circular return policy. You click product damaged during shipment, it shows you a list of recent purchases, you select the product and it takes you to the reason for returning the product page again. Rinse and repeat, but never can escape the cycle unless you pick a different reason...

14 reasons why Trump’s tariffs won’t bring manufacturing back

While that is technically true, seldom do manufacturers stop at just recouping an expense. They use it as a marketing ploy to increase prices further than the actual costs they are incurring. To the Author: Many manufacturing companies that rely on factories overseas have test plants in the US...

Tesla makes its cars lie about their mileage, lawsuit claims

Even if that's the case, actual mileage on a vehicle has to be clearly visible. Any misrepresentation of the actual mileage on a vehicle is a crime. Mostly it's because lowering the odometer defrauds the buyer.

Tesla makes its cars lie about their mileage, lawsuit claims

Not the first time defective odometer reading were discovered on cars. It will be hard to prove intentional manipulation of the data, so it'll likely just result in warranty extensions and updates on lease agreements as well as some type of fix, whether software or hardware based.

Here’s the latest on NASA’s Lunar Gateway, a program many people want to cancel

They might not have technical expertise, but they'd have practical expertise in knowing what considerations need to be taken in account for the project to be successful.

We’ve outsourced our confirmation biases to search engines

About the only thing you can do is to present all results and let the user decide which to read. Any sort of weighting system will end up biased in one direction or the other based on the audience doing the rating rather than the actual facts. I've seen ads for Ground News lately and wonder if...

Can NASA remain nonpartisan when basic spaceflight truths are shredded?

Things rarely change unless someone is feeling the pain. :) It's a good philosophy and one I've used in the past. I'm not childish enough to turn my back on friends though because they might have made an unwise decision.

Can NASA remain nonpartisan when basic spaceflight truths are shredded?

You just proved my point with the name calling. No one wants to hear it. They voted and ignored your concerns.
