The Ars cargo e-bike buying guide for the bike-curious (or serious)

I have the same bike and had the same problem with flats! I bought these and haven’t had a flat in a year: https://tannusamerica.com/products/tannus-armour

The return of Steam Machines? Valve rolls out new “Powered by SteamOS” branding.

Man if they can get SteamOS on those cheap Linux handhelds I’ll be so happy. Just bought a Miyoo Mini Plus and if I could play games like UFO 50, Into the Breach, or other modern “lo-fi” games on there that would be just nifty. I have no idea how plausible that is but it would truly delight me...

Feds want vehicles to be safer for pedestrian’s heads; new regs proposed

As a person with feet I’m very happy to see this.

Mod Easy: A retro e-bike with a sidecar perfect for Indiana Jones cosplay

I would rent this at the beach (or if visiting Bürresheim Castle)! But it's not replacing my long-tail e-bike, that can take two kids and is virtually as wide as a normal bike.

Brompton C Line Electric review: Fun and foldable, fits better than you’d think

I often find myself daydreaming about buying a brompton and a rail pass and just drifting from city to city. One day I’ll do it. Kids might be out of the nest and I could be retired but I’ll do it.

A cycling newb tries a cargo e-bike: The user-friendly Maven

I have an Aventon Abound. It is the same style of cargo bike as this one, as the author mentioned. I love it! I take my 3 year old and 6 year old to school on it everyday and then I ride it to work. We were able to sell our second car because how useful it is! People are gawking at the price of...

280 million e-bikes are slashing oil demand far more than electric vehicles

I would encourage anyone out there who has the bike infrastructure available in their city/town/whatever to try an e-bike. I made the switch recently from driving everywhere to riding an e-bike everywhere and there’s no way I’m going back. I got a bike much like the one in the article’s picture...

Tesla is losing market share as EV adoption grows and prices fall

I honestly don’t know. I don’t know what I’m missing in this space. I don’t have a news source for it. I like Ars. It’s a good site. They cover tech at a level that I enjoy. i know they cover some of the stuff I’m asking for. I’m just asking for more. They can ignore me if they’d like. I’m...

Tesla is losing market share as EV adoption grows and prices fall

Yes making cities affordable needs to be part of the solution as well. I’m not against EV’s. I would just like more coverage of non-car solutions. I know not everyone can use use mass transit or bike but there are plenty that can but don’t. They don’t for many reasons and I believe a major one...

Tesla is losing market share as EV adoption grows and prices fall

I agree, it does take time. That’s why we need to start now. We need to talk about it all the time to build the political will. We need to get people excited about public transit and media is a big part of that. That’s why I’m requesting more articles about it. A lot of things need to change in...

Tesla is losing market share as EV adoption grows and prices fall

Thank you for leading this article with a mention of walkability and America’s addiction to cars. EV’s are certainly nice but really should be a much smaller part of the climate crisis solution than many in our country (I’m an American citizen) realize. I would like to encourage Ars to write...

Haul it all? Trek’s latest e-bike offering is a cargo bike

I recently bought an electric cargo bike very similar to this one and love it. We had two cars before we made the purchase and we were able to sell our second car once we got comfortable with the cargo bike. I have two pre school boys who love to hop on the bike each morning for a ride to...

War Stories: How Gears of War almost didn’t have multiplayer

Love this video series. Even when it’s a game I don’t like or haven’t played I’m riveted. Keep up the good work!

Pfizer’s COVID vaccine for kids under 5 headed to FDA after positive trial data

I would be more excited but my two little guys just got COVID. How all of this was handled by the FDA is extremely frustrating and I feel like my children’s illness could’ve been avoided or at least less painful if they didn’t totally screw this up. “Better late than never” doesn’t really apply...

In rare interview, Monkey Island designers tell Ars about long-awaited Return

Wow! This looks great! Only backgrounds but looks promising. I imagine the animation would be a lot trickier. Then if you wanted to go beyond upscaling and increase framerate that would be a whole 'nother beast. I'd imagine you'd have to hire artists.

In rare interview, Monkey Island designers tell Ars about long-awaited Return

Excited for this! Grew up with these games. I started with Monkey Island 3 though (later went back to the first two) so it holds a special place in my heart. I know people typically prefer the first two but the music, voice acting, and especially the hand-drawn art of 3 is impossible to beat for...

How long do these mergers take? And how long are the waves detectable? Just curious.
