US intel officials cite reusable launch as difference-maker with China

Let em cook. US won't be able to hold the lead in the space sector. ISRO and CSNA will be the premier space agencies of the 21st century imo. I'm ok with other countries taking lead and why should we care if they are developing quickly?

Trump’s new head of DOT rips up US fuel efficiency regulations

I don't see car companies going back. They have heavily invested in EVS and factories. If US companies go back they're essentially cooked. They're going to be out competed by Chinese EVS. EVs (in every mode of transport) are moving forward globally so it makes sense to do it in the US too

There goes the hope of having affordable EVs in the US. We are going to continue to get mid oversized and overpriced EVs without any competition.

US to ban Chinese connected car software and hardware, citing security risks

Oh ok. So can US let all the other small affordable EVs from Europe /Asia to be sold in the US? No? Thought so. How about forcing US small 3 to make a lot of affordable EVs (under 25k)? No? Thought so. So let the Chinese EVs cook. Ion care about privacy. The amount of people not wanting...

Ford rethinks EV strategy again—ditching 3-row SUVs, adding vans

Yes they are nice cars. But I meant cars (many models) that have starting price less than 25k. Maybe even Indian, European or Chinese small cars would work

Ford rethinks EV strategy again—ditching 3-row SUVs, adding vans

I think US will be last country to have majority EV car transition because of high prices and lack of low priced vehicles. We need small hatchbacks, sedans, small SUVs. Either let Chinese or other European brands into the US or we will be stuck with ICE

The refreshed 2024 Hyundai Elantra N remains a darn good enthusiast car

Automakers hedge their bets with plug-in hybrids as EV sales slow

I feel like US is gonna get cooked in the EV territory. China will dominate and already have plenty of affordabole models. Need influx of Chinese EVs in the US to lower the price

All those electric vehicles pose a problem for building roads

Electric cars alone wont solve the problem. We need safe streets redesign, car free streets, heavy investement in frequent transit, bikes, dense cities

Electric vans are all the rage at DHL, UPS—maybe even USPS, too

We should also make last mile deliveries with the cities on bikes with PBL corridors without cars as well.

China and Russia say they will work together to build a lunar station

I think we should ISRO to that mix. I meant with NASA and ESA.

Traffic deaths rose 8 percent in 2020 despite fewer miles travelled

We need to atleast start parting away from car oriented cities, suburban sprawls. All talk and NIMBYs still everywhere. Hopefully one day we can lively, walkable, dense cities and towns

Car crashes killed 36,096 people in the US in 2019

The US is very car centric and the infrastrucutre is build around that. Some of the best ways to reduce traffic incidents is to design safe streets, take cars off the road etc.. Speed limit reduction alone won't do it. We need to completely redesign cities with density, public transit...
