Sometimes, it’s the little tech annoyances that sting the most

My life in the last few years has become 'random device was working yesterday and now its not after an update'. Down the rabbit hole I go.

Discord heightens ad focus by introducing video ads to mobile apps in June

I had been seeing a drop in friends using it over the last year. If there isn't a way to block the ads from my PiHole, I'll move on to something else.

Microsoft asks many Game Pass subscribers to pay more for less

It's all pushing me to get back into disc purchases. I will still go see the must see movies in the theater, but if the price of 3 tickets is more than the 4K disc, I'll wait and buy the disc everytime. I'm only really subscribed to Disney+ at the moment, because I pay for that annually...

Amazon jacks up price of ad-free Prime Video by $2.99 starting in 2024

I think all I watch on Prime now are some extra channels. Hey, those channels have their own apps for the same price. And since my deliveries have been consistently late, I guess I don't need Prime anymore (I usually order enough to cover what would have been the free shipping)

Sega packs unreleased games, new arcade ports into Genesis Mini 2

From what I can tell hardware-wise... If you already have a Genesis Mini 1, and you, uhm, tweaked it to add additional pack-in games, then there is no need to reserve one of these? Asking for a totally legal friend...

NHTSA to investigate Honda Accords and CR-Vs over phantom braking

2021 Nissan Sentra SR. Driving down the road at just under 30 mph. No one else on the road. Approaching a red brick crosswalk across the road, car slams on the brakes and alarms start screaming at me. I think I saw some leaves blowing across the street. I disable the emergency braking every...

All your Xbox Series X and S preorder links in one place

Success through Walmart. At first got to checkout and was told it was out of stock. On a whim I hit the checkout button again and succeeded. Best Buy was coming soon the whole time, Amazon a bust, and Target wouldn't accept my clicking on the preorder button.
