Rocket Report: Japan’s workhorse booster takes a bow; you can invest in SpaceX now

Fuck no. Ignoring that Endeavor is privately owned. The California Science Center is currently building a huge new exhibit around a vertical, full stack shuttle. The external tank (ET-94) is the last flight qualified ET. Not sure what the SRB's are, probably mock up's...

Russian ballistic missile attack on Ukraine portends new era of warfare

The other day, I looked up my Ancetry.com results. I found out, I don't have Romanian DNA. But I probably have some Moldava. Yay for being a Euro Mut. And said DNA is also Crimea based. So another reason to be be pissed at Russia.

Amazon’s first color Kindle e-reader, the Kindle Colorsoft, will run you $280

Ugh. I genuinely love my paper white kindle. But on the off chance I read a comic, I use my Chromebook. And it really annoys me, that the comics I've been reading is the asshole from Rock Paper Shotgun. And this chump, has created my favorite Star Wars character. Doctor Aphra. Basically the...

Bold private spaceflight begins early Tuesday, with a break in the weather

Duke has gone to by buddies spot, who is a bar tender . He mentioned he was with Yeagers second wife. And he didn't text me till 3 hours later. Which, I'm still very annoyed about. I would have loved to shoot the shit with him. Also. Fred Haise is also very coherent as well. I'd love to talk...

Uhhh. You may be right. I was fairly boozed at the time. I may have been mistaken. Though it did look like and sound very like him.

Bold private spaceflight begins early Tuesday, with a break in the weather

Also worth noting, Elon almost bankrupted himself. The first three SpaceX flights failed. It was the fourth one that had successfully flew. And he pointed out that fourth flight, if it failed, would have screwed him.

Bold private spaceflight begins early Tuesday, with a break in the weather

Boeing’s problem-plagued Starliner spacecraft comes back to Earth tonight

I think it's basic operating procedure to not have comments/chats during live streams. NASA doesn't make it's money off donations, unlike Everyday Astronaut or NASASpaceflight. Those donations are their bread and butter for those dudes.

Boeing’s problem-plagued Starliner spacecraft comes back to Earth tonight

Oddly enough, I'm wearing my Project Mecrury shirt. It has 1962 on it. Which I'm guessing it's in reference to John Glenn's flight, instead of Shepards. Which odd, but whatever. And I will say, I'm jealous of you old timers getting to see the birth of space flight. But life providing, I get to...

Boeing’s problem-plagued Starliner spacecraft comes back to Earth tonight

NASASpaceFlight was showing clips from social media they found off Starliners reentry. Some really fun looking plasma trails. They even noted you can see break ups in the trail, when the capsule fired course correction maneuvers.

Boeing’s problem-plagued Starliner spacecraft comes back to Earth tonight

Pressure suits. I think they are supposed to keep them. In case of an "oh shit" moment and they need to evacuate the station between Starliner leaving and the next Dragon arrival. In which case, Butch and Suni would be ratchet strapped to the floor of the current Dragon on station.

Oh Beoing. That huge cloud of hydrazine and the whoopsie, that left a parachute unboldted.

Russian space chief says new rocket will put Falcon 9 reuse to shame

While you make a valid point. I'm currently wearing sweatpants from a company called Penguin, that has a tag saying "Made in Bangladesh". On the other hand, lot's of crap still gets made in China. I went full retard into board games during the start of the Pandemic. Doing crowd sourcing on...

Why there are 861 roguelike deckbuilders on Steam all of a sudden

To add, board games also can take up lots of space too. It's easy enough for something like Carcassonne and a few expansions to be consolidated into one box and thrown on a shelf. The bigger games with lots of mini's start coming in multiple, big boxes. At which point storage space starts...

Despite turbulence at Boeing, astronauts are ready to fly company’s Starliner

I don't expect a perfect flight either. I'll settle for clock's are synced and parachutes are bolted in place.
