Verizon has been leaking customers’ personal information for days (at least)

Having been on both ends of a large corporate contract, it seems likely whoever did the initial integration has already spent their budgeted hours, and the resulting bug ticket has been passed around for eternity with a "can't reproduce" comment chain.

    SOLD: Late 2011 15" MacBook Pro 2.5GHz i7/16GB/512GB SSD/High-Res Anti-Glare $650 OBO

Looking to sell my Late 2011 MacBook Pro (A1286). This was the last variant to allow user-upgradeable parts (RAM, HDD, DVD bay). Also includes the high-res, antiglare display option that's no longer available on Macbook Pros. If you're not a fan of the glossy, highly reflective screens of...

Sprint’s new T-Mobile-style “unlimited” data plan throttles you after 1GB

Totally agree with this. I was previously on net10/straight talk, and cricket provides 98% of what I need in terms of network speed and data usage with the same coverage. For the 2% of the time I need a faster connection, I wait until I'm on wi-fi.

    FS: Late 2011 15" MacBook Pro 2.5GHz i7/16GB/512GB SSD/High-Res Anti-Glare $1250 OBO

Received a retina MBP as a gift and looking to sell my Late 2011 MacBook Pro (A1286). This was the one of the last models to allow user-upgradeable parts (RAM, HDD, DVD), and I've maxed it out. It also has the high-res, antiglare display that's no longer available as an option on BTO Macs. If...

Review: The new Moto G doesn’t change much, but still a steal at $179

really puzzling decision by motorola on this one. it's almost as if a marketing VP thought that filling every niche was more important than properly building on a solid hit. or that they fell into the mindset that the typical consumer thinks bigger means better.

Nintendo tweaks portable line with new, more powerful 3DS for Japan

If those specs are labeled correctly, it looks like the opposite; the new model is larger and heavier?

Two-thirds of Americans surf the Web at less than 10Mbps

Ohio resident here. Time Warner charges me ~$40 for 12/1.5, and the next-lowest level is something along the lines of 2/512k for $25. worst of both worlds. if my prepaid provider allowed me to tether, I'd drop cable in a heartbeat... LTE consistently beats my cable connection.

Anyone else having sleep issues with Mavericks?

probably not the answer you're looking for, but I always do a PRAM reset (CMD-OPT-P-R) along with a PMU reset after doing any OS updates. have you given that a try?
