The Nürburgring is still a thing for automakers at the LA Auto Show

The ring used to be about having fun, now it's mostly about egos. Look on youtube at drivers screaming at each other for getting in each other's way then losing a few seconds. They end up angry and not enjoying themselves. Then look at the old videos from the 70s and 80s with poor handling cars...

The McLaren Formula 1 team just hired the World’s Fastest Gamer

I said '2-stroke screamers' which are pukka racing Karts. The gearbox variety will beat super cars around test tracks . This is where all the current F1 drivers learnt their craft. Amusment go-karts are barely related. They are way too heavy and slow. My point was the money and complexity of...

Aston Martin’s DB11 looks like a million bucks, only costs a quarter of that

You don't know what you're talking about. I'll give you $100 when you do. Or better still just stay quiet next time.        I live quite close to Aston's home town, where they installed speed bumps to tackle...

Aston Martin’s DB11 looks like a million bucks, only costs a quarter of that

Astons have horrible depreciation. Maybe part of what he says is true.

Aston Martin’s DB11 looks like a million bucks, only costs a quarter of that

"those looks and that sound from the V12 engine attract attention from passers-by like few other cars on the road. This is not a car for shrinking violets" "and it sounds utterly wonderful" Why are Ars journalists still bigging up the noise pollution these cars make? There are new type...

As Formula E’s third season kicks off, car companies rush to get involved

Williams have a removable battery ready which was proposed to Formula E. It is liquid cooled so there are two pipes to disconnect very quickly which they have achieved. Formula E hasn't gone down this path for safety reasons too early in its life.

The McLaren Formula 1 team just hired the World’s Fastest Gamer

Given that even the best sim racers started in Karts. I'm surprised more young people don't get together and have a blast in some 2-stroke screamers rather than discussing the benefits of tripple screens, VR, playseats, different steering wheel pedal set-ups.

Not just a Semi announcement, Tesla promises a new Roadster

They were giving hard acceleration demo rides in a *working* *prototype* . Do they do that with concept cars?

You mean you want an electric track day car for bragging rights and has Elon catered for you? no probably not.

Begun, the electric hypercar performance war has

As much as I like the Tesla brand and the shape of the Model 3. Not everybody wants to be seen in a car that is a 'beauty' . Some people actually go out of their way to be seen in bland cars. Seat and Skoda both sell as plenty of people don't want a VW badge on their car.

Begun, the electric hypercar performance war has

What's even sillier is those same cars have very good sound proofing in the cabins. We all know though that the market these cars are aimed at, the drivers want *everybody* else to hear how powerful they are. EVs are going to kill the male ego.

Trump is twitter. Imagine if he left and went to another platform. The echo chamber hypocrites would all follow him there.

Tesla facing potential class-action lawsuit for racial discrimination

They are entitled hypocrites living in the past, chips on their shoulders and their heads firmily buried in the sand regards to the disgusting slavery that takes place *today*

Tesla facing potential class-action lawsuit for racial discrimination

BULLSHIT The Police in the UK set up a hotline for twitter users to report hate crime right after Brexit, that's why the figures went up. Only a few people were arrested under the 'malicious communication act' and were never prosecuted. The most prominant case online was a coke-head already...

Xbox One X review: An exclamation point for hardware, a question mark for software

Microsoft destroyed console gaming for me with the continual log-in log-out farces on their UI, coupled with endless splashscreens from all involved with the games and not having access to games I'd downlaoded on the other 360 in the house without jumping through hoops. It got to the point where...

Mini’s new John Cooper Works GP Concept has me hot and bothered

The companies who produced those shot themselves in the foot. In particular the cheats who included those contrived exhausts that farted at the press of a button (which includes Mini) The EU got sick and tired of the problem and has now drastically reduced the decibel levels for type approval...

Neo-Nazi Daily Stormer loses its Russian domain, too

coincidentally, America was dragged kicking and screaming into WW2 to fight them, they didn't want any of it. In fact American companies were accused of helping the Nazis at this time.
