Browser vendors unite to end support for 20-year-old TLS 1.0

You can still use TLS 1.1. 1.0 needed to be phased out as of the end of June 2018. Dumping older protocols is kind of a mess. For example TLS 1.2 is only supported by .NET 4.5 out of the box. Legacy software can't really easily be upgraded with quite a bit of work. Clients only really care...

The Surface Go reviews are in, and... they’re a bit all over the place

The silver has worse graphics... The gold can technically run a 4k monitor through display port (Surface Dock anyone), the N5000 doesn't appear to be able to do that.

The Surface Go reviews are in, and... they’re a bit all over the place

That's actually not remotely close to true... I still have a base model Surface 3 kicking around that's been updated to the latest available update. There's not a ton of storage on the device, but you still have like 40~ gb to play with for applications and other misc files. Now don't get me...

Galaxy S9+ review—Faster specs, better biometrics in a familiar package

Pretty much all cases take into account for this... There's a slanted path down to the fingerprint reader and it makes it pretty easy to hit.

Galaxy S9+ review—Faster specs, better biometrics in a familiar package

Yeah... No one's going to notice any lag on these things. It runs circles around my old 5X with stock Android.

Galaxy S9+ review—Faster specs, better biometrics in a familiar package

The Galaxy S9 actually only have 4 GB of ram vs the 6 the + has. My Nexus 5X died last month so I preordered the s9+. It arrived on Tuesday and so far I'm extremely happy with it. It's a totally night and day experience. My only wish with the software was that it would have come with Android...

Goodbye, net neutrality—Ajit Pai’s FCC votes to allow blocking and throttling

For all the fools who don't think this is a problem I'll give you these examples that already happened prior to 2015 - MADISON RIVER: In 2005, North Carolina ISP Madison River Communications blocked the voice-over-internet protocol (VOIP) service Vonage. Vonage filed a complaint with the FCC...

Fan analysis forces Bungie to confirm screwy XP math in Destiny 2

Now you have the opportunity to get things up to that light level in that slot now though... Basically you continuously leapfrog your light level, but are very limited to the amount of opportunities for advancement.

Fan analysis forces Bungie to confirm screwy XP math in Destiny 2

The only way to get something at a higher light level than your "base" light level is by doing weekly milestones (crucible, nightfall, raid, flashpoint, clan) or get lucky with an exotic. Legendary engrams and turn ins drop loot 5 levels lower than your base.

Fan analysis forces Bungie to confirm screwy XP math in Destiny 2

That's the sad part... The game itself is actually quite decent. The campaign is fun and the max level blue quests are fun, its just everything else that's shit. You're artificially gated on how much you can progress your character every week by the dumb powerful gear system, the token system...
