F1 in Abu Dhabi: And that’s the championship

"Verstappen was pursued by Piastri, who saw a chance to pass Norris on lap 1 and took it. For his part, Norris let him go". I think this was part of a pre-arranged team plan. Lando did not get out in front of Max at the start so it made more sense to cede second position to Oscar so he could...

F1 in Abu Dhabi: And that’s the championship

It worked out for McLaren as a team. Those two points got Lando the WDC over Max. They wouldn't have been any use to Oscar.

F1 in Abu Dhabi: And that’s the championship

Right, Lando's only at fault zero pointer was the DNF in Canada. Considering he had two more plus a sprint through no fault of his own says a lot about his abilities.

M5 MacBook Pro review: Fifth-generation Apple Silicon in a familiar wrapper

I am typing this on an Intel Mac and I am not in a hurry to upgrade. It handles video editing in Davinci Resolve just fine (Adobe Premiere may be another story). It is a desktop Mac though so battery life is not an issue and fan noise really isn't either.

F1 in Italy: Look what happens when the downforce comes off

It's McLaren and right now they seem to be locking up the constructor's championship. As for the favor McLaren is showing Norris, they rescued Piastri from the disaster that is Alpine.

F1 in Italy: Look what happens when the downforce comes off

McLaren's driver management is working great for McLaren, they certainly don't need lessons from Red Bull who seem like a one driver team right now. McLaren seems to be the only team right now with two equally successful drivers.

One last look at software support as macOS 26 Tahoe winds down the Intel Mac era

They did release the 2020 27" Intel iMac after the Apple Silicon announcement and the changes from the 2019 model were significant. Was Apple referring to the various models of the 2020 iMac when using the plural of Mac? Were there other Intel Macs in development that were cancelled? There were...

    Musk’s DOGE used Meta’s Llama 2—not Grok—for gov’t slashing, report says

Musk uses AI to target Federal government employees, the IDF uses AI to target Gaza. I am seeing a troubling trend here.

Only reason to run modern linux on a 486 is to make YouTube videos. Real retro computing requires a 6502 or Z80 anyway.
