How to share an FileMaker Pro database remotely... if possible...

DavidH is the MacAch's, uh, resident expert on Retrospect. He’s usually locked in the attic, or one specific thread. Here's a mods explanation viewtopic.php?p=37443475#p37443475 Don’t ask who’s in the basement.

    2020 Models: iPhone 12, 12 Mini, 12 Pro, 12 Pro Max

Hah. I give you the iPhone 3G, power hungry, poor battery life, limited coverage, and tied to a money hungry carrier. They even put the checkbox in the name of the phone.

Apple Octoberish Event Vapory! [** 10/13 Event Discussion Here! Starts p.5 **]

Your counter argument is “I was lying and I can’t understand why you didn’t see it”? Really?

Boeing hid design flaws in Max jets from pilots and regulators

But Boeing's root issues began when engineers were no longer leading the company, but bean-counters (aka MBAs) were flooding the C-Suite. That's a lovely thought, but Boeing has a long history of not only designing and manufacturing faulty planes, but then slow-rolling the investigations.

    apple services revenue push

That’s a fair point, but I do think that whatever the percentage, people would complain.

Horatio, this is an Official You’re A Bad Moderator Warning, for thinking you can make dumb arguments here and in the Mac Ach, and then lord your mod status by implication. And, dude, I’m a mod in a much more fraught forum, and I’m just letting you know you have very little idea what you’re...

Hey Horatio, so the answer is, no, xCloud is still at zero dollars? Good to know.

Hey, has xCloud made more than zero dollars yet? Just checking in from the real world.

Never seen so many people get butt-hurt because Apple actually has the discipline to execute their vision despite the mewlings of Internet thread commenters. Actually, no, I have, sorry. Oh, good lord. The xMac thread, and all it's previous incarnations, were models of petulance, on all...

I’m always entertained by the willingness of random internet commenters to sacrifice millions if not billions of dollars that the tech company of their focus Just Doesn’t Need. As to xCloud, has it made more than zero dollars yet?

Hestermofet has invoked it a number of times to show the power of the console market, and I've been pointing out that xCloud has made zero dollars of that $40 billion, so invoking it as a counterweight to whatever MS makes off of Mac Office users is just silly. Sure I can! In fact, that's...

Well, then it’s even more profitable for them to keep an Office for Mac going, and even less likely that they would cut off their nose to spite their face. Wait, you mean I was following your lead in being pissily pedantic? Do tell. It’s really really not irrelevant because it puts lie to...

xCloud, Stadia and other game streaming services banned from App Store

Speaking of idiotic statements -- companies buy licenses for their users, some of whom have Macs. Trying to separate that is the worst kind of pissy pedantry. Nor does it account for standalone purchases. No, really, genius? That’s my entire point, which is acting as if xCloud is some $40...

He doesn't. Also note that the comparative argument he's trying to make is irrelevant. The vast majority of revenues for Office might come from Windows users, but that doesn't mean that the amount of money made off of Mac users is small or insignificant. And it's certainly more than zero...

Yep! They got AT&T to sell the iPhone without threatening to cripple the iPod. Thanks for confirming my point. On the point that you're ignoring: let me know when MS makes more than zero dollars from xCloud and we'll talk.
