The ultimate tablet comparison chart, with the new iPads

Apple says 326 here: http://www.apple.com/ipad/compare/ Sorry, that was a mistake, it's been corrected. Thanks for pointing it out.

Typing, kickstanding, and folding—first look at the Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2

My experience was cursory, but my sense was that it is much, much improved when it comes to seeing all the keystrokes and getting them right. The addition of several hundred sensors was a really good idea.

Don’t let me down, Apple: iOS 7 on the iPad 2

It's not unusable, but the resolution is noticeable on so large a screen. The fine details of iOS 7 just make it worse. Given that the ppi is higher on the iPad mini, it makes sense that it might look a bit better.

Don’t let me down, Apple: iOS 7 on the iPad 2

As I said, and as Andrew said in his iPhone 4 piece, probably a lot of it/most of it. It's definitely a confounding factor.

How App Store grifters clone an overnight success to make a quick buck

They're actually not unread. The way Mailbox works, if a message is in your inbox at all, read or not, it counts toward that total. The only way to make that number go away is to archive or delete everything, and I WILL NOT BOW TO THAT CONVENTION, SIRS.

Hyperloop—a theoretical, 760 mph transit system made of sun, air, and magnets

This is addressed in the document very, very briefly, to the effect of "we know the tubes would have to be some kind of flexible because California has earthquakes all the time."

Hyperloop—a theoretical, 760 mph transit system made of sun, air, and magnets

This is speculation, but I imagine once the capsules entered an airlock, the intake noses and compressor could do some of the work pulling air out of the space, "fueling" themselves up for the journey.

Hyperloop—a theoretical, 760 mph transit system made of sun, air, and magnets

Whoops, that's my error. The tube acts as the stator, per the document.

The smallest new Android phone you can buy isn’t small at all

I think what I was trying to say was there is a two dimensional spectrum (large to small, high-quality to low-quality) and now phones plot along a line rather than scattering across the space. But I take your point, will make the necessary changes. Thanks!

The smallest new Android phone you can buy isn’t small at all

"Stereotypically" is the operative word there.

The smallest new Android phone you can buy isn’t small at all

For me it's mostly situations where I'm standing... holding a subway pole, carrying something else, holding a drink, or else riding a bike (with significant clearance of other people and obstacles), pointing at something, letting my arm swing free, eating cake or other foods. I have needs.

    The great fitness band shootout

My dictionary states it can mean " flung out widely or haphazardly." I think the expression "arms akimbo" refers to the pose you're noting, but that's not what I used here.
