Getting medieval: A military analysis of Game of Thrones’ Westeros War

Great read, most of the same points I was making to my wife that I had been observing. Btw one thing I will disagree on... "Apparently, Dany is the actual tactical genius," -Sean Gallagher She was tactically foolish to destroy the loot train. She and her horde had the Lannister army totally...

AMD Threadripper 1950X and 1920X review: Better than Intel in every way

That's because in my opinion Walton and a few others are unabashedly AMD fans, to the point that they can't actually review these things fairly. :/ There is an obvious slant in how Walton writes his articles on anything AMD versus Intel or Nvidia. Makes hard to read his articles honestly.

Why did Chevy bring its Tahoe—and us—to a firing range?

Awesome response Lee! Thanks for the in depth reply on this, it goes a long ways to reassuring me that things won't go down hill.

Why did Chevy bring its Tahoe—and us—to a firing range?

Let's hope that Ar's doesn't become what Wired in recent years has become. I noted after I read the article that the writer of this advert works for Wired. :/

Dockless bike sharing lands in Seattle—and leads us down unsavory alleyways

Not hard to carry your own helmet with you. They're small, light and hey you aren't putting a helmet on your head that a stranger wore and sweat on. Ewww. I'll pass on helmet sharing. I'd just have my bicycle helmet strapped to my backpack. Also Sam, the basket not moving with the handlebar...

If you crave Star Wars: The Last Jedi, go behind the scenes with this video

Agreed. I was watching the video and smiling and chuckling and then every time they showed Carrie my eyes got a bit too damn watery.

How the equals sign changed the world

If you are going to alter an article after it has been posted, you should put a note at the top of the article mentioning it and why. "Update: etc etc etc".

American Gods may be the best show about religion on TV

Exactly, at that point the Shah, his family and those who would suffer at the loss of power of the Shah were on the run themselves. Those most likely were indeed revolutionaries.

Witcher developer: Thieves want ransom for leaked Cyberpunk 2077 docs

Ditto, the PC version didn't even hit my radar. I had a lot of the tabletop (Pen and Paper) game material though back in the day. I computer game version offers the same level of depth and fun. Edit: Ah, from the posts made, seems like Kyle didn't do his homework. They're talking about the...

HTC U11 hands-on—The first phone with both Google and Alexa voice commands

Not sure I get all the fingerprint glass back comments by posters and by the author of the story. When I glance around everyone seems to use a phone case. I use a phone case, everyone in my family uses a phone case. My point, what's it matter if it's a fingerprint magnet if you cover it...

American Gods may have finally nailed the modern-fantasy formula on TV

Strongly agree. My whole family was saddened when Black Sails ended its run. What a great series. We're now looking forward to watching American Gods as a solid replacement for Black Sails.

Mini-review: Asus cranks out another excellent $700 Ultrabook

" It also adds a backlight, an unnecessary but nice-to-have frill " -Andrew Cunningham For you it's unnecessary. The lack of backlight is a deal breaker for me everytime. Hell even my first generation Surface Pro's detachable keyboard is backlit. One thing I've always disliked is that...

Smart TV hack embeds attack code into broadcast signal—no access required

Exactly what I've been doing since I became a cord cutter. Just seemed the safer route to go because it was fairly obvious that TV manufacturers and other manufacturers of electronics don't give two shits about security. Or are apt to spy on you themselves if you give them access to the device...

Corsair One review: The best small form factor PC we’ve ever tested

Go figure, I like the Bulldog case. Married, retired, with four kids in college. (Shrugs) I like the Corsair One as well. Small form factors with powerful hardware rock.

Dealmaster: Don’t miss out before the big game—here are a bunch of 4K TV deals

Honestly they pretty much have to on the Vizio systems. Vizio's remotes are absolute crap. We bought one of their TV's and soundbars a bit over three years ago now. Right out of the box both remotes were utter crap. They sent us replacements to no avail, I finally gave up and bought a...

Zombie skirmish game The Walking Dead: All Out War puts real horror on your table

I just want it for the mini's, I always need more mini's for my tabletop rpg games. Fantasy figures are easy to find, a wide variation of modern aren't.

HP Spectre 13 reviewed: Remarkably thin, but not light on power

Thanks, so the reviewer failed us in her review and didn't mention something so critical. I hope you weren't the one downvote I got for pointing out the lack of a backlit keyboard in the review? If so the failure wasn't in my reading but the reviewer's lack. Backlit keyboards are important to...

Top Clinton aide was “frustrated” with her boss’s e-mail practices

Or instead of attributing it "management elitism" Lee as you just did in a malicious sort of way. You could instead be more generous and attribute it to the issues with reliability and security that apparently "are" the norm with federal systems?

HP Spectre 13 reviewed: Remarkably thin, but not light on power

Doesn't look like the keyboard is backlit. That's unacceptable for me. Hell even my Surface Pro's keyboard is backlit. Come on HP. The lack of that should have been put under the "bad".
