Well, I personally think that leaving the market is a viable alternative (so I voted)... especially since cable companies self-compete with their internet connections. Hulu/iTunes/Netflix was just too attractive an alternative.

I would like ala-carte access to any channel through streaming services. That would be a free market. The cable companies need to understand that they are no longer the single point of distribution for video content in the world; they are data pipe owners/managers.

Has anyone here used DGI-SOAP? How does it deal with repeat-rich regions? I'm mainly thinking of the difficulties of reproducing accurate total length in a long series of short repeats when you've only got a reading frame of ~50 bases.
