Tesla delivered 83,500 vehicles in Q3 2018 despite “logistics hell”

So Tesla made 3% of the cars Toyota did, but command 27% of the value, even with no profits in sight.

Police to Seattle’s techies, streamers: sign up for our anti-swatting service

For the same reason TSA precheck has never stopped a single terrorist... the more afraid and paranoid and "always on the mind" violence is, the more police officers we need and the larger and richer the whole apparatus becomes.

50 million Facebook accounts breached by an access-token-harvesting attack

The part of this that frightens me the most is that what the media calls a "massive" breach of 50 million accounts is tiny compared to the number of accounts and asinine details Facebook collects and exploits on people all over the world. Fear the computer hackers, not the social hackers, they...

Mummy of paraplegic child shows how Peru’s Nasca culture treated disability

Yeah, tuberculosis always sounded terrible in historical fiction, but not frightening to me personally in the era of Western medicine... That's over. Getting my spine eaten alive? That's horror.

Cody Wilson arrives back in the States, enters US Marshals custody

I am baffled that you think this hurts him. Maybe a jury would look at this poorly, maybe. He didn't leave the country though, he was already out of the country when the charges were brought. Plenty of others have successfully evadec prosecution, and even those like Polanski who was convicted...
