How I changed the law with a GitHub pull request

This really should be the ultimate democratic goal. Every person can propose changes with a pull request, and if the request is approved by vote, it goes in. Never happen, but it sounds ideal to me. Would make great science fiction.

It takes about two days for LEGOs to pass through the body. Science!

My dog will chew up sticks and shit bricks of splinters. Guts are pretty damn resilient.

Amazon customers’ names and email addresses disclosed by website error

Not sure why people are worried about Trump. Bezos' behavior is far more frightening. Headquarters in the seat if national power? Check. Headquarters in the seat of the nation's finances? Check. Own one of the most powerful newspapers in history? Check. Control top secret government data? Check...

Sorry Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook isn’t a “positive force”

Calling violence against people over speech "good" pretty much makes you a hypocrite here.

Instacart changes how it pays shoppers, but many say they’re now making less

Well, in fairness, the old school wasn't really different. Walmart, for example, wasn't ever known for its generosity.

Instacart changes how it pays shoppers, but many say they’re now making less

Shame these people don't understand that their "employer" and they are in competition for profits. The whole point of disruption is to pay employees, contractors, and every other vendor less. Who do you think is going to win, the giant corporations with billions, or the working stiff?

The Boring Company’s first tunnel is all dug up

Which is why this is all silly and not news. Musk isn't magic, and plenty of smarter people have been working on this problem for centuries.

Network intel provider’s domain served fraudulent content for ~2 weeks

I've always feared this with abandoned or lost email addresses. Who knows how many accounts can be compromised by email address reuse?

Bitcoin plunges 12 percent, reaching lowest value in a year

I'd love an article on what the hell is going on over at Blockchains, LLC. They own an ungodly amount of real estate and clearly have immense wealth, but everything they say they are doing is just completely vague. https://thenevadaindependent.com/articl ... trial-park

What is going on with California’s horrific fires?

Fact: The Moon has no tsunamis or forest fires. Let's move!

What is going on with California’s horrific fires?

We can spend a few trillion dollars on burning shit down in other countries, but we sure as shit wouldn't use that kind of money to save lives. That would be un-American.

What is going on with California’s horrific fires?

Okay, I tried again. Now, what was your point?

What is going on with California’s horrific fires?

It was an exaggeration. Sure, there's pockets of trees in Northern Nevada, but by and large, this was a grass/steppe fire, not a fire involving trees. It was a 500,000 acre fire, and almost none of that involved trees.

What is going on with California’s horrific fires?

That might work in your yard, but there are, as I mentioned, over 15 million acres of it in California. You aren't managing that, it has already invaded and it has already won.
