    Good external sound card?

Building an SFF box and need something a little beyond the onboard sound offered on the shuttle systems. What is the best external sound card solution available right now? PCI isn't an options since i'm going to be using a x800 pro inside the case, i'd like to give it a little breathing room.

    Curious about Sound Proofing

THanks for the input and the thread. Corking is something i didn't consider but that looks to be a very reasonable option. My fans are already running at low speed (5 v) , since running them at full speed leaves me concerned that my tower might take flight if it catches an updraft.

    Curious about Sound Proofing

I'm home for the summer and my pc is running great. THis means, of course, that i've gotta mess with it. I'm gonna throw an lcd in, and maybe do a custom window of some sort. I would also like to do something along the lines of sound proofing the noisy bastard. I saw some of the Asaka (sp?)...

Has anyone tried to run their new P4 (.13 micron) chips without a fan?

Curious here what you would use as case materials. Also it seems the netting would be highly suspect in terms of spillage of liquids and such

    Problems with LCD monitor

I've got an Aging 15 inch LCD monitor, Axion 1560u. Its served me well for a long time however i'm afraid the ol' girl is starting to lose her shine. I am having to increasingly fiddle with the phase setting to try and keep my picture from "shimmering" or being fuzzy in certain areas of the...
