Lawsuit: Musk saved $143 million by illegally waiting to disclose Twitter stake

Neither...this is purely a business decision ("I can make >$100M when I'm only going to be fined a fraction of that if I'm even caught? Sign me up!"). Fines are just a cost of business when you make more profit than the amount of the fine from breaking the law.

Google Fi’s unlimited plans get a $5-$10 price cut

Because you're probably going to use more data (and more quickly) when you're tethering versus just using your phone.

Google Fi’s unlimited plans get a $5-$10 price cut

Total price per month for Simply Unlimited: $50 for 1 line $80 for 2 lines $75 for 3 lines $80 for 4 lines Uh...ok.

What's the way forward for Democrats?

Can loan forgiveness be done for only undergraduate school debt? That would eliminate the concerns about lawyers and doctors.

Review: Ryzen 5 5500 and 5600 can breathe new life into older AMD PCs

You'd probably be better off buying a Ryzen 2000 or 3000 series off of eBay once everyone lists their old processors after they upgrades 😁

Intel’s long-awaited Arc GPUs begin shipping today, starting in laptops

    HDMI 2.0b, not 2.1? C'mon now, it's 2022.

    Are you prepping for Coronavirus?

Haven't heard updates for those of us who originally got the J&J vaccine; after getting the J&J shot in May last year, I got a Moderna booster the first day I could (late October), so that would imply if we should be getting another booster six months later, it would be about a month from now...

AMD is returning to budget CPUs with $99-and-up Ryzen 4000 and 5000 chips

And they had a "new member" deal recently where you could take another $50 off those prices. Edit: they still do: https://www.microcenter.com/site/conten ... ercpu.aspx

Lenovo brings 16:10 trend to the small screen

The stand only allows the monitor to be used landscape, not portrait, right? I'd think there would be an advantage to having a portable monitor that you could use in either orientation.

Intel NUC 12 Extreme review: Alder Lake makes for a pricey, portable powerhouse

Ironically, the Dan A4-SFX case is smaller than the NUC 12 Extreme (7.2L vs. 8L) and can fit a full-size graphics card. The case costs $210 in the US, so I'd think that a build using it would be similarly priced (if not cheaper) than a NUC 12 Extreme (though I haven't priced it out).

ChromeOS Flex is an ideal off-ramp for millions of PCs that can’t run Windows 11

Sigh...looks like my ASUS Chromebit won't be supported. I just want to use it to essentially power a billboard, but I don't know if it's worth the security risk.

Supply chain before and after the pandemic

Using the market share percentages from that link, the Herfindahl–Hirschman index is around 1030, which isn't that concentrated. Even if the two largest companies merged, it would only increase to around 1600, which might be a little alarming but would still probably past regulatory muster...

Creeping Theocracy: Reproductive Rights in America

Agreed. See above, and think about why your assertion that "97% of women who come to PP get an abortion" is not supported by your evidence. Following that, consider why women who aren't pregnant might want to go to Planned Parenthood (hint...might have something to do with not getting pregnant...

The weekend’s best deals: HBO Max, new AirPods, Apple Watch Series 7, and more

Note that you also have to pay shipping for the NES controllers ($7), so the deal for one set is actually $42 plus tax. (Note that the shipping is the same no matter how many you order, however.)
