In your new spare time, you may also want to consult the definition of "gerrymander", since it isn't what you seem to think it is.

But by all means, enjoy your jingoism. It seems important to you.

Correcting misstatements of fact is not jingoism. I'd rather the US not have the military history that it does -- but suggesting that it hasn't been the military power of the post-WW2 era is simply incorrect.

It is, in fact, the case that the US has been defending two entire continents, and Japan, for most of that time.
