You have to assume they don't have access to protected files that would violate the integrity of security sandboxes. How many users would gleefully click on allow all files access if they knew the risks associated with that in a 3rd party hosted file solution? While I agree that it should be a choice, it shouldn't be a one-click choice to open your metadata to mitm attacks without fully understanding the risks. And most people just don't understand the risks. My whole network is buried behind a VPN with very high bit encryption. Using an app with a known port is asking for trouble. Especially considering how many unsuccessful attempts are recorded every day in my syslog. I'm sure you can do what you want if you run AOSP, but not on my phone. I don't want to be able to bypass security like that.Do apps like Dropbox and OneDrive also have this problem?
