It seems the only logical choice here is for Apple to sell Android phones themed with Apple apps in the EU since apparently every Apple specific feature is going to be deemed illegal. If generic is what they desperately want there really is not much choice. It is not like they are offering to pay for the engineering effort to cater to their whims.
