It's wild to me that there is so much angst at LLMs over hallucinations.
It has always been caveat emptor in the search domain. Go check Google results. They are packed with lies (ads, delusions, SEO bot results that are garbage).
The reality is that simple questions to ChatGPT can and do short-circuit a ton of around digging through trash, ads, 30 year old irrelevant results etc. Yes, if you demand something impossible you'll get hallucinations. And the more they try to RHLF LLMs it to bound the results, the worse the results get.
