My sad and disappointing takeaway from this, the second article about the show which is still yet to air, is that Ars is not above advertorial masquerading as journalism and my trust in the site has to an extent been shaken. Of course I'm sure that Beth Mole, for example, will never slant an article but there is now a sense that an equipment review might be completely honest whereas before I was certain.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the first season and can easily believe that the second is excellent as well but the coverage seems excessive and I fully expect a third very positive article reviewing the series after it does become available. It just comes across as paid promotion.
On the upside, if there is one more article, I will get to feel very clever for successfully predicting the future and a whole new career as a fortune teller could open up. I could really use the income right now, so it's all good. ;-)
