Article: "The data isn't deleted, it's just misplaced. But to a user, there's no difference."

This is a terribly deceptive headline. And it is directly contradicted by the truth, as noted in the article quote.

I expect that there will be a Chrome fix which creates a call to the old file location to poll for data, or some other fix, though developers should get their shit together about data storage locations. This is not the end of the world.
