Let me understand. Carbon Dioxide emissions have increased more this year than last year correct?

If you bother to look at the graph, the arctic ice volume today is higher than 2018 and 2017 at this same date. In fact, the 2018 late summer -early fall volume was at a recent high. I know Al Gore predicted that all Arctic sea ice would be gone during the summer over 5 years ago, but would someone look at the actual data and explain how CO2 is causing warming Arctic ice melt with reduced ice volume? Plus, we are breaking many records for snow totals in the Northern Hemisphere so far this year. I know they changed from "Global Warming" to "Global Climate Change" so does this mean that CO2 is now causing global cooling?
