Except that if you think that Global Warming has played a significant role in anything to do with these two hurricanes, you would be wrong.

Not to say Global warming isn't happening, or human caused, but rather in this case it's not anywhere near a major contributor to the intensity, timing, track, etc of these particular storms

Edit: have to wonder if any of those downvoting bothered to click on, much less actually read the linked info from a well respected expert in atmospheric sciences, weather forecasting, and climate.

As a sad consequence of increasing popularity, the comment quality of Ars articles necessarily decreases on average. The gems like your post and link sink between the droves of useless bullshit. You got my upvote, but the audience values Trump bashing above facts. Your final score is also dependent on the initial votes. The sheeple factor dictates previous vote based voting eventually dominates.

Ignore the votes and carry on. Or use them as a guide to improve your future posts. For instance, you may have fared better if you extracted the factoid that global warming is responsible for less than 1" in a 30" rain area and probably less, nothing or even a negative factor that actually made it less bad.

On the other hand you are fighting the emotional need to strike back against Donald "biggererest crowds" Trump. Your logic is no match for the mouth frothing.
