It's Nazi symbols. You can't put Nazi symbols on things, for any reason (especially something trivial like a television show) and especially in New York City, the home of many generations of Holocaust survivors and the location of the Jewish Museum.

You can't expect New Yorkers (or really any Americans) to "get the joke" on this one. Especially this year; it's a little too close to the bone.

What Nazi symbol? The Eagle? That's as American as apple pie. Yes, it's clearly a German eagle, but so what? The Iron Cross? Germany used that in WWI, before the Nazis. Do these images invoke Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan? Yes, that's their point. Are they actual Nazi and Imperial Japanese symbols? No, they are not.
