LEGO bricks, space exploration, and the then-one-year-old-Apple IIc left a strong impression on Brian while growing up. Enthusiasm for photography, cars, skiing, rock climbing, SCUBA, and Geography developed as life progressed, eventually resulting in a B.A. in Geography from UCLA and far too many expensive hobbies. Extensive experience in System Test Engineering, Engineering Quality Assurance, Production and Process Engineering is rounded out by contributing to Ars Technica in what little spare time he has left, in large part because finding Geography jobs that pay the bills and still leave money for toys isn't easy.
